Breast lift at Obesity & Aesthetic Surgery in Tunisia
One of the most popular breast surgery procedures is breast lift. It aims to:
- Reposition breasts that lose their outfit
- Reshape the gland
- Drape the skin envelope and reduce the excess
- Reposition the areola.
An increase in breast volume using dedicated prostheses can be associated with breast lift surgery.
For who ?
Breast lift is proposed to end breast ptosis, the fall of breasts following breastfeeding or weight loss. In case the breast size is sufficient, the surgeon will act on the excesses which weigh down the breast and cause it to fall up the areola and the nipple.
In case the chest is considered small, the lifting operation will be combined with the placement of prostheses in front of or behind the pectoralis major muscle, in order to improve the final result after ascension of the areola and nipple .
The intervention
An ultrasound mammography systematically takes place before the intervention.
The operation takes place in the operating room with general anesthesia
The incision can be circular around the periareolar areola (Round block) in the case of slightly drooping breasts, or associated with a vertical or inverted T incision for larger ptoses.
The scars are covered by the underwear and fade over time.
Duration of stay
The duration of the stay is 7 days.
Post-operative suites
- Intense pain only after breast lift with breast implants. These pains will be relieved by analgesics.
- It is necessary to wear a compression bra for 1 month.
- Sport is allowed after 1 month.
Rare complications:
Hematoma or infection immediately after surgery, peri-prosthetic shell (inflammatory reaction) distant from the procedure.
With a competent care team in the post-operative phase as well as good supervision of the patient by our specialized surgeons, everything should go well and the risk of complications will be almost zero.
